Welcome to the official website of the Genuine Orthodox Church of America, under the leadership of His Eminence, Archbishop Gregory of Denver and Northern America.

Today there are over 26,000 communities calling themselves by the name of Christ and claiming to be His Church, to hold to His Gospel, and to possess the way of salvation; however, they all disagree on what the truth of Christ is, and so we have the Orthodox, Roman Catholics, Old Catholics, Monophysites, Nestorians, Calvinists, Lutherans, Baptists, Presbyterians, Anglicans, and innumerable others, each taking their name from the doctrine that sets them apart from the others. All of them teach different things, so how is it possible that all of these doctrines come from God's revelation? There can only be one truth, since God is one, and He has only revealed one path of salvation to mankind through the one Church, which He promised that the gates of Hades would never overcome (Mt. 16:18). Thus there must be only one Church and one Gospel teaching, and that absolute truth can only be found in the Orthodox Church.

It is not God's will that His Church be divided, but that the unity of the Faith remain strong and one. The Apostle Paul tells us, though, that there will be heresies and schisms. Although these false teachings and schisms (unlawful separations from the true Church) have multiplied in our days, and even comprise the vast majority of humanity, the true Church will forever remain one and united, the treasury of all wisdom and grace, undamaged by those who fall away from her, no matter how small she becomes, always abiding pure and unblemished (cf. Eph. 5:27) as far as her dogmas are concerned, being guarded by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth.

The websites presented here were created for the sake of all those who are earnestly seeking the true Faith, all those who have the humility to submit themselves to the tenets of God's revelation and strive for a virtuous way of life. The Orthodox Church is for all peoples. It is not an organization only for certain ethnic groups. It is not a social club. The Church is God's gracious gift for the salvation of all those who are seeking union with God in eternal life.

The Lord Jesus Christ came to earth to save the lost sheep, humanity. He promised to remain with His Church until the end of time, and He offers a great reward to all who will preserve the Orthodox Faith exactly as He delivered it to His holy apostles.

The modern world is filled with deception and darkness. The true Church, however, continues to shine a guiding light for all those who are lost and have gone astray. The Genuine Orthodox Church is the only hope for fallen man. The pursuit of material things and earthly happiness ultimately cannot satisfy the soul. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can satisfy the soul that hungers for a higher purpose.

For information about the situation of the Church today and the many heretical groups who fight against it although claiming to be Orthodox, see our polemical website. For instruction in the teachings of the Orthodox Church as well as spiritual homilies and lives of saints, see the catechetical website.

The truth that is presented on the websites contained herein may be difficult to bear, but the Lord encourages us: “If ye abide in My word, truly ye are My disciples; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free” (Jn. 8:31, 32).

To those who have been searching for the true Church, your search ends here, in the safe harbor of true Orthodoxy.
